Justice Is Coming So Hold Your Breath

Is there justice in America anymore? Whatever happened to the rule of law? It seems the criminals get off scot free (Catch and Release at the border, release of prison inmates and BLM/Antifa rioters by mayors/governors, election fraud, etc.) while righteous people are punished for the slightest offense. When you enter our local mall, there is a sign just inside the door saying that you must wear a mask, and if you don’t, you’ll be fined $1000. Really? For not wearing something over your face that many scientists, virologists and doctors say does absolutely nothing to keep any virus from going through, you’ll be fined what is an exorbitant amount of money for most people who, thanks to Covid, are barely scraping by financially?
A friend of mine had to get her car inspected (NY state law) and was told she could not wait in the waiting room because of social distancing. It was only 20 degrees outside. The proprietor said inspectors come by regularly and if customers in his tiny waiting room are not six feet apart, he’ll be fined $10,000. Since social distancing in his establishment is impossible, people have to stand outside in the cold. There is a McDonald’s next door but their dining room is closed. However, God takes care of his own. My friend suggested maybe she could sit in one of the cars on his lot to at least be out of the wind. He thought that was a good idea and had one that he had recently used that was still warm, so she was able to wait there.
Those of us who love the Lord can take comfort in his Word and the knowledge that all sin is judged, and no one gets by with anything.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
For evildoers shall be [b]cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Psalm 37:7-11)
According to this scripture, with all that is going on in our nation and the world now, we have an opportunity to grow in patience and faith. We are to cease from anger and not resort to violence by taking matters into our own hands. We must prayerfully trust God, and as we do so, he will move on our behalf.
This reminds me of one of Pastor Dana Coverstone’s dreams. (In case you haven’t heard of him, in December of 2019 he had a dream about a pandemic and civil unrest that were going to impact our nation. Of course it all came true. Since then he has had many prophetic dreams involving national and political events in our nation that seem like messages from God.) I enjoy hearing his dreams and prayerfully interpreting them as best I can.
In one of his dreams, he saw a map of the United States and there were mountain ranges all around the circumference of the nation. People were no longer wearing masks but were just going about their lives as though everything was normal. Then some of the people perked up as though they had heard something that others didn’t hear. These people who heard something began to effortlessly hold their breath. The others who didn’t hear continued doing their normal activities until they suddenly became aware that they were standing in water and the water was getting deeper and deeper. They looked around and saw that blue ocean water was flowing over the mountains into the country like water filling a swimming pool. These people began panicking and pointing up at the sky and cursing God as the water got deeper and deeper. But the people who were holding their breath were not afraid. They just continued effortlessly holding their breath. Then a white figure appeared as he always does at the end of Dana’s dreams and said, “Stay braced and don’t stop holding your breath just yet.”
Dana never interprets his dreams; he just tells you what he saw. Here is my interpretation: This dream is a picture of the following scripture:
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matt 24:37-39)
There were two classifications of people in the days of Noah—the wicked who were swept away in the flood and the righteous in the ark. I believe the same is true in Dana’s dream. Those panicking were those who had rejected Jesus Christ and chosen to live self-serving lives. They will be destroyed in some manner not necessarily a flood. Those who were holding their breath and not afraid were those who were trusting Jesus Christ and were, therefore, in his spiritual ark.
The beginning scene of the dream shows people living life as though everything were normal. This is like the people before the flood eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. The people in the dream who begin to hear something and begin to hold their breath are hearing from God. They realize it is time for the second coming of Christ, and they have a foundational relationship with Jesus that gives them faith, hope and peace. They are in a spiritual ark, and holding their breath means they are not angry or trying to take matters into their own hands. They are just trusting Jesus.
What does this have to do with holding your breath? Two factors come to mind. First, Psalm 27:12 “Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.” (Emphases mine) Here we see that false witnesses are breathing out violence. These false witnesses remind me of the mainstream media and their continual accusations against President Tr**p and patriotic people who love our nation. They must be breathing out violence with their lies because people who believe them are filled with anger and some are violent. This becomes more clear when we see the Hebrew definition for two words from the aforementioned Psalm—breathe and violence.
Breathe
The Hebrew word for breathe, yapheach, is defined not only as “breath” or “breathe” but also as “anger as in panting in anger.” Newscasters who have been reporting lies about President Tr**p for over four years are angry. They are breathing out anger all over the nation and wherever they are watched in the world. There is absolutely no proof for what they say so they are false witnesses and people blindly believe them and absorb their anger as their own. Those holding their breath are not breathing out anger and violence because they represent those who have not believed the lies and therefore are not filled with anger and violence. They are rather trusting in God knowing that he is who his Word says he is and he will do what he says he will do. Therefore they are in the spiritual ark.
Violence
The Hebrew word for violence is chamac which is defined by Strong as the following: cruel(-ty), damage, false, injustice, oppressor, unrighteous, violence (against, done), violent (dealing), wrong. Notice the words false and damage. I have never heard anything but damaging lies regarding President Tr**p coming out of the mouths of the mainstream media. Continuing with other words in the definition for violence: The lying media are totally unjust, they are oppressing the people of our nation and the world. What they are doing is unrighteous and downright wrong. AND FOOLISH PEOPLE BELIEVE IT, they pick up offense against President Tr**p and they breathe out anger and lies that often cause violent behavior as seen in BLM and Antifa.
Don’t Breathe
People who don’t do these things are those who are holding their breath in the dream. They are not being violent, angry, oppressive, unjust, lying, damaging and unjust. They are quietly trusting God that he is Almighty God and that he will administer justice in our land so the truth can be known and the righteous redeemed.
The Waters of Judgment
The waters flowing into the country over the mountains represent God’s judgment on the people of our nation. God used water to judge the wicked in Noah’s day, and yet the water that destroyed the wicked conversely caused righteous Noah and his family to rise up and enter a new land of promise. When the Israelites fled from Egypt, the waters of the Red Sea parted bringing them deliverance and entrance into a new land, but the same waters destroyed the wicked Egyptians. Going down in the waters of baptism symbolizes our death to our own sin nature and we rise up into the resurrection life of Christ our Savior. So we see that flood waters in the dream represent a terrifying judgment of death on the wicked but at the same time blessing and new life to God’s faithful people.
If my interpretation of Dana’s dream is correct, soon we are going to witness God’s judgment falling on the wicked. Even apart from the dream, I truly believe it is judgment day and we need to do everything in our power to spend time earnestly seeking God so we will be able to stand and hold our breath in this evil day:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [b]wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph 6:10-13, NKJV)
As this judgment falls, it will not be a pretty sight and we need to brace ourselves which means we must be rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ. Sadly some of those who succumb to the waters of judgment will be our acquaintances—even friends and possibly family members. We must do all we can to draw near to Jesus with assurance of faith knowing that we are daily putting on the whole armor of God and then we can do our best to be witnesses to the unbelieving—witnesses of the love and faithfulness of Jesus Christ that he is offering to all humankind.
